Let’s get ready for the holidays! Your student received a packet with our holiday fundraising opportunity. New this year – we will be selling

Packets with a flyer, a FAQ page, etc were distributed 2 weeks ago.  However, I am being told that some band families hadn’t even heard about this fundraiser.  If your student does not have the packet of information, please have them pick one up Monday 11/6 as there is still time to participate!

Some important reminders as you sell these products to family, friends and neighbors:

1.  MOST IMPORTANTLY, they must be able to pick up what they order from you on Saturday morning December 2nd at Santa Teresa High School between 9AM and 1PM.

2.  They can pay you by check or cash.  Checks should be made out to STMAA.

3.  When you make a sale, please give the purchaser the white copy of the receipt and you will keep the yellow copy of the receipt.  Please put the student’s name in the area marked “Salesperson:”

4.  Turn in all money collected and corresponding yellow copies of receipts on Monday 11/13.

5.  Ms. Bounds has additional receipts if needed, the original pack that went home has 3 receipts.

The most common objection I have  run into is that people already have a fake tree and they don’t  buy a fresh tree anymore.  Should you run into that objection, be sure to mention the “Trees for Troops” alternative where a customer can purchase a tree which will be directly delivered to military bases in California.  Please read over the other common objections you might run into so you are prepared when selling!

Our goal is to sell at least 113 trees, 66 wreaths, 25 trees for troops as well as misc. swags, garland and poinsettias.  With approximately 200 band families, I believe these goals should be attainable but we need your help.

IF EACH AND EVERY BAND FAMILY JUST SOLD 1 TREE, WE WOULD MAKE OUR GOAL.  Please help us reach our goal of $6000 total for this fundraiser.   If you have any questions please feel free to contact myself or my wife Shannon

In your packet will be a flyer detailing the 3 types of trees and additional items, a FAQ’s and overcoming objections document, 3 order forms (more are available from Mrs Bounds), and a worksheet about the poinsettias with an example of how to complete the order forms.

See sample below, a few important details to fill out:

–        Students must enter an email address and phone number so we can send a reminder of pick up date and location.

–        Please make sure that the students complete the pickup date and location on the bottom portion of the receipt.

–        The order forms are 2 parts. The top copy should go to the customer and the bottom would be returned with cash or checks written out to STMAA by Monday 11/13.

–        If someone places an order they must be able to pick up on 12/2 between 9am-1pm as there will be no other pick up time offered.

This is a great opportunity to earn funds for the Disneyland trip if your student is going.
